howdy

howdy

Woman wearing a "Birth is better with a Doula" shirt, standing indoors, smiling, and tossing a breast-shaped object in the air.

My name is Anna Ciesielczyk— yes, it’s polish. Yes, it took me a long time to learn how to spell it. Yes, I will share the phonetics so you can also learn: (sha-shell-shick). My knowledge comes from years of hands-on experience walking alongside hundreds of birthing families and continuously learning along the way.

Alongside doula work, I offer craniosacral and fascial bodywork for infants and adults; gentle, restorative sessions that help release tension, soothe the nervous system, and restore balance to the body. I was fortunate to train under Lori Hendrickson in infant craniosacral and fascial release, gaining hands-on techniques and education to support babies’ comfort, alignment, and overall wellbeing. I’m a big fan of CST and you should be too.

My philosophy on birth is that it’s a deeply sacred and transformative experience, and far too often people let it simply “happen” to them. Transformation and autonomy is where it’s at, yo. While I love supporting home births, I’m equally honored to work with families choosing to birth with the midwifery unit at Greenville Memorial Hospital (GMH). These settings allow me to fully honor my doula style and provide the most attentive, intuitive support possible.

When I’m not doula-ing or offering bodywork, you’ll probably find me and my three kiddos outdoors; gardening, homeschooling, hiking, or getting our hands dirty in nature. I strive to live intentionally, mother mindfully, and savor life’s unhurried moments. And just like the families I support, I believe we’re all constantly growing, unfolding, and blooming into our fullest selves.
